Chad Martin, our Advertising Director (2nd from right in lead photo), is in Lebanon, Indiana, attending “Festool Recharged 2023”, where he is previewing a range of new Festool products being release in 2023.
Here are three products that caught Chad’s attention.
We’ll be bringing you more details over the coming weeks about these (and other) new and exciting products from Festool.
CTC SYS Cordless Systainer Extractor
With a Systainer on the outside and a cordless dust extractor on the inside, Festool’s CTC SYS Cordless Systainer Extractor offers maximum performance and independence with minimal weight. For smaller tasks, the CTC SYS enables a virtually dust-free work environment without the need for a power outlet.
KSC 60 Cordless Sliding Compound Miter Saw
Unbeatably precise cross cuts in an enormous range of applications. The new KAPEX KSC 60 cordless sliding compound miter saw features miter angles of up to 60º on each side and bevel angles of up to 47º on each side. A twin-column guide with two bearings ensures the saw blade is guided smoothly and with precision regardless of the setting – making every cut perfect, without wobble or deflection. The KSC 60 offers the freedom and convenience of cordless without compromising performance, designed and built to reliably produce precise results while maintaining a compact and portable format.
CSC SYS 50
With a compact footprint and lightweight design, the CSC 50 Table Saw offers easy portability for jobs near and far. The amazingly advanced motorized controls provide digital depth and angle control. Combined with the robust EC-TEC motor, integrated sliding table and generous-sized miter gauge, the CSC SYS 50 provides ultimate power for high-quality and accurate cuts. The Systainer-based design complete with a built-in collapsible extension table for cutting larger materials makes for a highly capable and robust work platform.
The number of comments on woodworking forums that echo the sentiment above outnumber those from people ‘bragging’ about owning Festool by probably 1,000:1. Small minds on both sides of the fence….
Festool makes very good machinery, but the cost is prohibitive for most. The best part about owning anything Festool is the bragging rights, but those I associate with could care less, it appears, so I’ll stick with that which works well without having to pay for a name that means little other than the owner probably has more money than he needs, so he buys expensive tools to brag about!
