I was looking forward to being able to attend the Hamilton Woodworking Show. Please let me know if it’s going to happen still. I really enjoyed it in previous years and was looking forward to buying a bucket or two of cut-off hardwoods.
No Matt, the Hamilton show won’t be held this year. However, the Woodstock Woodworking Show will be held sometime in 2023. You can get the details here.
I’m so sad to see that these shows seem to be permanently gone. I had always looked forward to going to the Hamilton show every year with my son. As a young child, he loved seeing the woodturning exhibits and the carving winning submissions. Even as a teenager, he happily went with me to the show. I always enjoyed seeing the winners, picking up a new tool, and getting some interesting pieces of wood. Each year, I would also stop by the magazine’s booth and have a brief hello with Paul who seemed to recognize me from the previous year’s hello.

Has the 2022 woodworking show in Sept been cancelled
Yes it has.
So to confirm, both the woodstock and the hamilton shows for 2022 have been cancelled?
That’s correct.

Hi Jim: we too hope that the show will return in the near future. We’ve missed connecting with many of our loyal subscribers. All the best.
