Strongsville, OH – Northeast Ohio tool manufacturer, Woodpeckers®, recently began selling Semble brand woodworking clamps.
The flagship of the Semble fleet is their heavy-duty parallel jaw clamp. A patented mechanism keeps the sliding jaw in place until you’re ready for it to move. Push in slightly to close the jaw or pull out slightly to open it. No more jaws slamming into your project or falling out of position at just the wrong time. The contoured handle features a unique pivoting design. Swing the handle square to the screw and increase your leverage for that extra little bit of pressure when you need it.
Similar features (excluding the pivoting handle) are found in a medium-duty parallel jaw clamp, perfect for drawers, jewelry boxes, thin panels and anywhere you need even application of pressure and lighter weight. The same patented mechanism found in the HD clamp keeps the MD sliding jaw right where you put it all the time.
Semble also offers two sizes of “F” clamps. The HD has a 4″ throat depth and a sturdy 1-1/8″ bar. The MD has 3-1/8″ clamping depth and a slightly smaller bar.
For track saw users and those with grid-work workbenches, Semble has an excellent track clamp. This specialized “F” clamp fits in the 12mm x 8mm T-slot of most track saw rails (Festool, Makita, Triton and some others) to secure the track to your stock. The arm is also just the right length to thread through a 20mm (or 3/4″) hole in a bench top to hold your work down to the table. This track clamp secures a full 8″ on top of your bench…almost 4 inches more than other brands that cost more.
Semble clamps are manufactured in Taiwan by a company specializing in clamps for all types of industries. Woodpeckers has evaluated these designs in their prototyping shop and the shop of several experienced staff members and has found them to be better than anything else currently available. Speaking about the line, Woodpeckers president Richard Hummel said, “Subtle details elevate Semble clamps above the pack. Fit and finish are exceptional and their quality control is first rate.”
Woodpeckers has focused on the needs of hobbyist woodworkers since 1988 and began manufacturing the majority of their offerings in 1993. The company makes precision layout tools, router tables and lifts, innovative clamping tools, carbide-tipped woodturning tools and a wide variety of helpful shop products. They also seek out and distribute tools that will make your time in the woodworking shop more enjoyable and more productive.
