Chinese three legged stool

Chinese three legged stool

I first saw this design in an art piece by Ai Weiwei (https://bit.ly/3HcBZQy) where he had about a hundred of these all connected together. The trick to make this is to prepare several special angled measuring aids at 11 degrees and 30 degrees. All joints are mortise and tenon done with a bandsaw and a drill press.

All the pieces were cut from beautiful clear yellow cedar from the British Columbia coastal rain forest salvaged from a house construction waste pile.
