Secretary Desk

Location: Georgetown, Ontario

Reproduction of a secretary desk made by cabinetmaker John Doan in 1830. The original is now in the Museum of History in Ottawa. Primary woods are Birdseye maple and pine. The finish on the Birdseye is aniline dye followed by an oil/polyurethane topcoat. The finish on the pine case is a gel stain, then same oil/poly topcoat.
